Lord Matsala’s Throne was created as part of my time on the Infinity27 Skills Bootcamp under the Art strand.
This project reflects my growth across the full asset creation pipeline, including concept design, modelling, sculpting, UV unwrapping, and texturing. I started by exploring ideas through thumbnail sketches in Photoshop, supported by research and organisation in Miro. From there, I used Blender for modelling, sculpting, and UV mapping with a UDIM workflow, and Substance Painter for baking and texturing, resulting in high-quality 4K textures.
This was a really valuable experience for me, both creatively and technically, and helped me build confidence with new tools and workflows.
Special thanks to James Rafferty and Matthew Selby for their guidance throughout the asset creation and integration process, and to Dan Baird, David Park, and the whole Infinity27 team for their support and for the opportunity to be part of the bootcamp.
